On The Farm
Various alterations have occurred over the years since Luckley was built in 1795 following the Longborough Enclosure Awards. The fine Cotswold stone structures stand firm around the central courtyard where white doves continue to nest in the dovecotes. You should see horses, sheep, cattle, geese and hens, many songbirds and possible sightings of wild fauna including deer. With over 140 species of Cotswold flora also you have plenty to keep an eye open for.
If you are an early riser you will glimpse racehorses being put through their paces by National Hunt trainer, Martin Keighley, training on gallops and facilities set up by the late David Nicholson “The Duke”. Or arrive by microlight for an overnight/weekend break (farm car available for transport if required).
